Mia Love passed away at the age of 49 after serving as the U.S. Congresswoman for Utah. Love became the inaugural African American Republican lady elected to Congress.

 Love functioned as the United States representative for Utah's 4th district from 2015 until 2019. Following her position in government she took up roles as a political commentator.

Mia Love Brain Cancer 

Family members of Mia Love publicly announced her death through social network sites according to Associated Press reports. The brain cancer she fought showed no more response to treatment during the first month of this year. 

Mia was undergoing clinical trial brain cancer treatment at Duke University's brain tumor research center according to what her daughter had earlier mentioned. 

She learned in February 2022 that she had glioblastoma brain cancer so doctors predicted her lifespan would be 10 to 15 months. The doctors performed surgery which took out 95% of the tumor. 

The clinical immunotherapy treatment for her started in August 2023 while her tumor was showing signs of reduction.

Ludmya Bourdeau was born on December 6, 1975, in Brooklyn, New York, before choosing Love. The parents of Ludmya Bourdeau called Mary and Jean Maxime Bourdeau moved to the United States. 

Her birth in America gave her parents the possibility to obtain legal residency status due to a specific immigration law. 

Immigrants from the Western Hemisphere received aid through this law if they had a child born in the United States until it expired 25 days following her birth in 1975. 

Afterward, her parents obtained full citizenship in the United States. Love experienced her fifth birthday when her family relocated from Brooklyn to Norwalk Connecticut. 

The Norwalk High School served as her educational institution while she practiced Catholicism under her parents' religious guidance. 

She received a half-tuition scholarship admission to the Hartt School at the University of Hartford before she earned her degree in musical theatre. 

Love dedicated herself to work at Sento Corporation and Echopass Corporation after completing her college studies. Love obtained employment with Continental Airlines both as a flight attendant. In 1998, she moved to Utah.

Love followed Catholic beliefs until 1998 when she chose to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

She reconnected with her previous acquaintance Jason Love when she lived in Utah after he had spent time as a missionary for the LDS church in Connecticut. 

The couple got married in December 1998 after dating for only four months following their initial meeting. 

They started their lives in American Fork Utah until they settled in Saratoga Springs later on. By 2017, they had three children.

Political Journey Of Mia Love

Love began her journey into politics through city council position where she was elected in 2003 to serve Saratoga Springs which was then a young developing locality located approximately 30 miles from Salt Lake City. 

She served as the mayor after the city council before choosing to enter Congress. She launched her campaign for a U.S. House of Representatives seat in 2012 but fell short to Democratic opponent Jim Matheson. 

Love successfully ran for office a second time in 2014 to become the representative after beating Doug Owens with a margin of approximately 7,500 votes. 

Throughout the time Love spent in Congress the Republican Party deemed her an emerging political talent. 

During his 2016 presidential campaign, Donald Trump received limited backing from Utah voters hence she chose not to work with him.
