The American politician Kristi Noem has maintained her position as U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security since 2025. From 2025 onwards, she has served as the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security. From 2019 until 2025, Noem held the position of South Dakota Governor.

From 2011 until 2019, she served as the U.S. House of Representatives representative for South Dakota. As a Republican followed, she supports the Republican Party.

Kristi Noem entered the world on November 30, 1971, in Watertown, which is located in South Dakota. She experienced her childhood years on the family ranch and farm located in Hamlin County, together with her several of her siblings. 

She has Norwegian roots. She earned the South Dakota Snow Queen honor after finishing her secondary studies at Hamlin High School in 1990. The year 1994 was marked by the tragic death of her father in a farm-related accident. 

Kristi went to Northern State University from 1990 to 1994 but didn’t finish her degree. She helped grow the family business by adding a hunting lodge and a restaurant. Her siblings also returned home to help expand their businesses.
